Haleck Enterprises Inc. has a new nearly $4 million commercial project on the drawing board at the Ottoville area, to be completed at least by next year.

Avamua Dave Haleck says the approximately 26,000 square foot 2-story commercial building known as Ottoville Center II, will house on the first floor the American Samoa campus of Argosy University while the second floor will house professional offices as well as conference rooms.

Avamua said the new building is part of the overall plan to construct a future shopping center on the adjacent property (next to the Tradewinds Hotel). Additionally, the Ottoville II project will be fully compliant with federal American Disability Act regulations and provide ample parking and situated on close to two acres of property.

Craig Construction American Samoa has been contracted for the close to $4 million project, which is funded by Haleck Enterprises and another investor — which Avamua didn’t identify. Construction period is 12 to 14 months.

“Building a large commercial building is a big undertaking. As we have done in the past, we believe and have faith in moving American Samoa forward in terms of nice facilities for businesses to operate from,” Avamua said last Thursday.
